GAFCON stands for Global Anglican Futures Conference. When Anglican provinces from around the world saw a need for orthodox Anglicans to band together to promote the Gospel in a traditional way, they gathered in Jerusalem in 2008 to form GAFCON. They issued the historic Jerusalem Declaration which defines Anglicanism, and charts a way forward in the midst of a world which seeks to repudiate the Gospel. In Nairobi, Kenya in 2013 GAFCON again gathered, and the bishops and delegates of GAFCON will again meet in the summer of 2018 in Jerusalem. We will be there and represented bouth as a parish and as a diocese
In 2017 GAFCON announced that it is seeking the affirmative membership affiliation of dioceses and parishes. Both our Diocese of CANA East and our parrish of Holy Trinity have joined and are members of GAFCON.
